Kathleen A. Boyer

Kathleen A. Boyer, 69, Dolgeville, New York passed away unexpectedly on Thursday afternoon, July 22, 2021 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare in New Hartford, New York.

She was born on January 18, 1952 in Little Falls, New York and was the daughter of the late, Oscar Becker and Helen (Frederick) Gaetano. Kathy was educated at Dolgeville Central School and subsequently received her general education degree shortly thereafter.

Kathy was formerly employed at Allegro Shoe in Little Falls as well as cleaning for several area businesses and private homes in her younger years. More recently, she was employed with Gehring Tricot, the Dolgeville Department of Public Works where she enjoyed her career immensely, and lastly, as a retail associate at Kinney Drugs, all of Dolgeville, New York. She retired several years ago.

She was known for her love of animals especially her German Sheppard dogs, Taz and Mandy who predeceased her. Kathy also enjoyed gardening and flowers. She will be known for her dedication to her beloved dogs, her steadfast work ethic, and her close relationships and friendships she formed with her family and friends.

Kathy is survived by her beloved daughter, Lisa M. Boyer Lamphere and her companion, Jamie Mykel of Fort Plain, New York; a grandson, Daniel Lamphere and his companion, Cayla Farnham of Fort Plain, NY; a brother, Richard Becker and his wife, Andrea Becker of Gloversville, NY; a sister, Linda Sheppard and her companion, James Bender of Sparkers, NY; her nieces and nephews, Mikayla Becker, Andrew Beckham, Scott Sheppard, Richard Sheppard and his companion, Molly Miller; great-nephew, Connor Sheppard; great niece, Laura Sheppard; special friends and caregivers, Shirley Shibley, Mary Ann Parisi, Betty Spoor, Rachel Simmons and Mary Skuza.

She was predeceased by her parents; father, Oscar Becker in 1992 and mother, Helen Gaetano in 2009.

In keeping with Kathy's wishes, there will be no formal funeral services. She will be laid to rest alongside her mother, Helen, at Rural Park Cemetery in Little Falls, New York privately.
