Dorann E. “Debbie” Spofford 74 of 2582 State Route 29 Salisbury Center, died Tuesday May 1st, 2018 at her residence after an extended illness. At the time of her passing she was comforted with Love and support of her family.
She was born in Little Falls, on September 12, 1943 the daughter of Arden and Alice (Plato) Burton and was a graduate of Dolgeville High School.
Debbie was united in marriage to John E. “Jack” Spofford on November 3, 1989 in Salisbury Center. He predeceased her on March 4, 2001.
She was employed by the Lyndon Lyon Greenhouse, and most recently by the Covered Bridge Convenience Store.
Debbie was a member of the Salisbury Center Methodist Church, and personally enjoyed traveling with her family on many vacations. One of her favorite places was the St. Lawrence River, where she camped with her family.
Surviving is a Son Donald Carter of Salisbury Center, her daughters, Colleen Riesel of Rome, and Michelle and her husband Joseph Putney of Newport, Leigh Anne (Graham) Brown of Dubai, a brother John (Kathy) Burton of Stratford, her sister Christine (Arthur) Eagan of Salisbury, her grandchildren, Tara, Britlyn, Janessa, Kyle, Samantha, Kaitlynne, Ryan and Chantz. In addition, she has several Great Grandchildren and Nieces and Nephews. She was predeceased by a Son Scott Carter, her sisters Lynne and Susan, and her grandsons Justin and Josh. Debbie also had to very Special and close friends Elaine and Judy.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday May 11th, 2018 from 4-6 PM at the Roberts Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville. Evening hours will conclude with a prayer service officiated by Rev. Anthony Bradseth. Friends are invited.
