Tressa A. Christensen, 78, of St. Johnsville, New York, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, August 26, 2022 at her home with her loving husband, family and her dog, Rosie by her side, after a 20-year battle with cancer.

She was born on April 24, 1944 in Ilion, New York and was the daughter of the late, Robert and Erma Mosher. Tressa was educated at Fort Plain Central School and graduated with the Class of 1962. She then went on to further her education at the Utica School of Commerce.

On October 10, 1962, Tressa was united in marriage to Anton G. Christensen in St. Johnsville, New York. The couple shared 60 years of marriage together this year.

In younger years, Tressa was formerly employed with Felt Shoe in St. Johnsville, New York for a number of years. Her main role was being a caring and dedicated wife and mother as a homemaker where she raised her sons in a loving home. Later in life, Tessa was the owner and operator of the Kyser House and General Kyser Antiques on Main Street in St. Johnsville, New York for many years until her retirement.

Tressa enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at Treasure Island. She also like to go antiquing, and collecting buttons. Her most precious time was spent in the company of her family. A loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all, she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Anton G. Christensen at home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Svend and Tish Christensen of St. Johnsville, NY and Anton and Christy Christensen of Oppenheim, NY; her cherished grandchildren, Max Christensen of the United States Marines stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC, Maggie Christensen of the United States Army stationed at Fort Sill, OK, Hannah Christensen of Oppenheim, NY and Sophie Christensen of Oppenheim, NY; two brothers, Bob Mosher and his wife, Judy of Duluth, MN, and Clark Mosher and his companion, Michelle Kelly of Gansevoort, NY; in-laws, Shawn and Sherry Christensen of St. Johnsville, NY, Pat and Joe Falangetti of Rancho Pales Veris, CA and Sandre and Joe Holtslag of Greensboro, NC; several aunts, many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members of the Mosher and Christensen Families.

Tressa was predeceased by her father, Robert Mosher, mother, Erma Mosher, two sisters, Pat Buddles and Barbara Kyser and a brother, Glenn Mosher.

In keeping with family wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life gathering at the H. C. Smith Benefit Club on Saturday, September 3, 2022 starting at 3 p.m. where a prayer service will be offered. All are welcome to attend. The family is being cared for by Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street, Dolgeville, New York 13329.
