Sarah A. (Perkins) Longway Obituary

Sarah A. Longway, 40, of Salisbury Center, New York, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning, June 27, 2020 at her home.

She was born on June 12, 1980 in Herkimer, New York and was the daughter of Mark A. Perkins and Holly J. (Sanders) Wentworth.  Sarah attended West Canada Central School and graduated with the Class of 1998.  After high school, Sarah went on to Herkimer County Community College where she earned two Associate's Degrees in General Studies and Accounting.  She also earned her Certificate as a Teaching Assistant.

Sarah was employed by Gems Along The Mohawk in Herkimer, New York and Middleville, New York.  During her 14 year employment with the company, the list of duties she took on was endless. Sarah was of the Methodist faith and was a member of Middleville Methodist Church.  She enjoyed all aspects of life. Sarah loved music, playing her flute, taking pictures, gardening with her flowers, horror movies, hiking, kayaking, her cricut machine, sunsets, watching her children play sports and spending time at the beach on their annual family vacation to Wildwood, NJ. Her most precious time was that spent in the company of her children and grandchildren.

Sarah was one of the most caring and giving people you could meet.  She was always upbeat, was a great listener, and had a loving sense of humor.  Her personality will be remembered for years to come. A loving wife, wonderful mother and grandmother, beautiful daughter and sister, Sarah will be missed by all who knew her.

Special Message from Sarah's Family:

She was such amazing role model to anyone she came across. She always showed love and care no matter what. Always flashed a friendly smile. She never gave up on anyone even if you weren’t the best. Life wont be the same without her. But everything from this point on is for momma. Everyone loved her so much. She was the type to never hold a grudge or be disrespectful to anyone. We can not wait to see her again. Fly high our beautiful angel! We love you to the moon and back! ~Kevin, Phoenix and Brody
