Pastor Anthony R. Bradseth Obituary

Pastor Anthony R. Bradseth, 53, of Dolgeville, New York and formerly of Bemidji, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, New York with his loving wife, children and family by his side.

He was born on June 30,1968 in Alexandria, Minnesota and was the son of the late, Richard and Joyce (Gahlon) Bradseth. Anthony was educated at Bemidji High School and graduated with the Class of 1986. He attended Bemidji State University where he earned a Bachelor’s of Art in Graphic Design and Illustration. His faith brought him to enroll at NABS, the North American Baptist Seminary in Souix Falls, SD where he worked hard to become a Reverend. 

On September 14, 1991, Anthony was united in marriage to his love, Heidi Ann Burton at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kasson, MN. The couple have shared over 30 years together where they raised their four children in a loving home.

Pastor Anthony’s career brought him to share the Word of the Lord in many places including -Cleveland, ND, Jamestown, ND, Dell Rapids, SD, Stickney, SD, Parkerburg, IA, Belle Fourche, SD, Lowville, NY, and Brushton, NY. Lastly, Pastor Anthony’s journey brought him and his family to Dolgeville, New York where he was a Pastor at the Dolgeville United Methodist Church, Oppenheim United Methodist Church and the St. Johnsville United Methodist Church. He shared many close relationships within his churches and throughout the communities he served in his years of ministry. 

Pastor Anthony enjoyed playing guitar, music, writing, painting and in particular loved his career ministering among his community. His most precious time was spent in the company of his loving wife and children. A devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, friend and pastor, he will be sorely missed by all lives he touched with his lovable and friendly personality. 

He is survived by his beloved wife, Heidi A. Bradseth of Dolgeville, NY; his mother, Joyce M. Bradseth of Puposky, MN; four children, Grace Bradseth of Kasson, MN, William Bradseth, Kina Bradseth and Makenzie Bradseth, all of Dolgeville, NY; siblings, Mary Cole (Darwin) of Pequot Lake, MN, Kathryn Grueneich (Randy) of West Fargo, ND, Joseph Bradseth of Puposky, MN and LaNeta Kochevar (James)of Gheen MN; father-in-law, Gary Burton of Kasson, MN; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Missy Tjosaas of Kasson, MN; and many aunts and uncles; several loved nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, his church families and community. 

Pastor Anthony was predeceased by his father, Richard Bradseth, two brothers, Michael Bradseth and Douglas Bradseth, his mother-in-law, Dianne Burton and a nephew, Douglas Bechtold. 

Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street, Dolgeville, New York 13329. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the St. Johnsville United Methodist Church, 7 East Main Street, St. Johnsville, New York 13452 and will be officiated by his best friends Pastor Jack Ford and Pastor Mark Hediger. Immediately following the service, there will be a meal with fellowship offered in the fellowship hall. All are welcome to attend.
