Lucy A. Singer

Lucy A. Singer, 65, of Dolgeville, New York, passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, April 13, 2022 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown, New York with her loving cousin, June and her long-time home caregivers by her side.

She was born on January 11, 1957 in Herkimer, New York and was the daughter of the late, Clifford and Edna (Moore) Singer.

Lucy was a beloved resident of the Sullivan Street IRA. She enjoyed painting, wee bowling, going to dinner at Applebee’s, dancing and singing children’s Christian hymns. She will be sorely missed by her fellow residents and caregivers.

She is survived by her sister, Dawn Singer of Norway, NY; two brothers, Dennis Singer of Rome, NY and Clifford “Skip” Singer of Little Falls, NY; a cousin, June Morse and her husband, Bob of Stratford, NY; and several extended family members, including her caregivers at her residence.

In addition to her parents, Lucy is predeceased by her sister, Faith Singer and her special cousin, Linda Nichols.

A graveside service for Lucy and her sister, Faith, will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Salisbury Rural Cemetery in Salisbury Center, New York, where the sisters will be laid to rest together.

The family of Lucy would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Bassett Healthcare for their care and support of Lucy while she was sick as well as the many years of love she received from her caregivers at the Sullivan Street IRA.
