Linda L. (Randall) Nichols

Linda L. (Randall) Nichols, 76, of Dolgeville, New York, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, May 25, 2020 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on January 10, 1944 in Little Falls, New York and was the daughter of the late, Harold and Daisy (Moore) Randall.  Linda was educated at Dolgeville Central School.  She was raised on her family farm, Dairy Hill Farm in Salisbury, New York.

Linda was formerly employed by A1 Interiors in Troy, New York as a laborer and retired in 1987.  In earlier years, she also worked for Rudy's Tree Farm and Felt Shoe.

On February 10, 1962, Linda was united in marriage to Leland F. Nichols, Sr. The couple shared a loving union of 45 years where they raised their four children in a supportive home.  Mr. Nichols passed away on September 15, 2007. 

Linda was of the Methodist faith and was a supporter of St. Jude's Children's Hospital and the Shriners.  In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking, sewing, gardening and canning.  Her most precious time was spent in the company of her family and she will be missed dearly by them.

Linda is survived by her beloved children, Diana Borst and her husband, Paul of Dolgeville, NY, June Morse and her husband, Bob of Stratford, NY, Leland (Lee) Nichols, Jr. of Dolgeville, NY and Sandra Dillenbeck and her husband, Chet of Salisbury Center, NY; ten special grandchildren, Shane, Gregory, Amanda, Daisy, Kaylee, Breonna, Tanner James, Marie, and Samantha; 13 cherished great-grandchildren; three brothers, Donald Randall of Salisbury Center, NY, Arthur Randall and his wife, Betty of Salisbury Center, NY and Randy Randall and his wife, Shelly of Salisbury Center, NY; a sister, June Doxtader of Foltsbrook Center, Herkimer, NY; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews; and her special beloved dog, Sassy. 

She was predeceased by her grandson, Chad Lee Nichols; her siblings, Robert Randall and his wife, Wilma, Arnold Randall, Harold Randall, Jr., Virginia Snyder and her husband, Mort, Joan Vanesse, Sandy Harlow; sister in law, Beverly Randall; and a brother in law, Don Doxtader.

In keeping with Linda's wishes, her remains will be donated to the Upstate Medical University, Anatomic Gift Program. The family is being cared for by Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street, Dolgeville, New York 13329, (315) 429-7123.

The family would like to thank Hospice and Palliative Care of New Hartford, especially Linda's nurse, Judy, for the compassion and care that was shown to Linda during her last few months.
