Jo Anna Belcher, 58, of Stratford, New York, passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, September 4, 2020 at Albany Medical Center, Albany, New York, after her courageous battle against A.L.S.
She was born on September 27, 1961 in Little Falls, New York and was the daughter of the late, Walter and Marie (Cool) Belcher. She attended Oppenheim-Ephratah Central School.
Jo Anna was last employed with the A.R.C. in Herkimer, New York for 4 years and retired in 2018 due to A.L.S. She was formerly employed with Kleist Sports Supply for 22 years as well as a bartender and server with the Stone Jug for many years, both located in Salisbury, New York.
In her spare time, Jo Anna enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. A loving and devoted, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved children, Donald Terzi and his wife, Tiffany of St. Johnsville, NY; Stephanie Terzi and her companion, Charles Nichols of Dolgeville, NY,Salina Jaikin and her fiance, Richard Abare of Dolgeville, NY and Samantha Jaikin of Dolgeville, NY; her siblings, Earl Belcher and his wife, Angela of Salisbury Center, NY,Bernhard Herringshaw and his wife, JoAnna of NC, Linda Youker and her husband, Carl of Oppenheim, NY, and Peg Randall of NC; cherished grandchildren, Preston, Franchesca, Sarah, Abigail, Heaven, Olivia, Chey, Cassidy, Chloe, Chelsea, Richard, Brianna, Becca, Christian and Kylie; great-grandchildren, Marianna, and Amelia; special niece and nephew, Ramona Brown and Donald Brown, both of NC; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a canine friend, named Pug.
She was predeceased by her brother in law, Dick Randall.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street, Dolgeville, New York 13329. Please wear a mask and social distancing procedures will be followed.
A Celebration of Life gathering will immediately follow calling hours at the Salisbury Covered Bridge picnic area on Fairview Road, Salisbury Center, New York 13454. All are welcome to attend to celebrate the special life of Jo Anna Belcher.
