Devin C. Hutchins, 24, of Dolgeville, New York, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at his home.
He was born on May 21, 1999, in Newton, Massachusetts and is the son of William R. Hutchins and Hope A. Payne Hutchins. Devin attended Dolgeville Central School and was a member of the Class of 2018.
Devin was formerly employed at JBF Stainless in Frankfort, New York as a metal grinder and prior to that he was employed by Feldmeier Equipment in Little Falls, New York.
Devin enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, kayaking, cruising around with his friends listening to music and Taco Bell. His most remarkable attribute was being a great friend who loved spending time with his buddies and close-knit group of friends, “The Misfits”, who were more like family to him. Devin had a wonderful sense of humor that will be cherished by all he made laugh. The void that he left will be forever felt by his devastating passing but with time will be filled with the fun and fond memories of a loving son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend who will be missed sorely.
He is survived by his beloved parents, William Hutchins of, Newton, MA and Hope A. Payne-Hutchins of Dolgeville, NY; paternal grandparents, William and Elaine Payne of the Town of Manheim, NY; brothers, William Hutchins of Little Falls, NY and Oscar Lozada, Jr. of Dolgeville, NY; step-sister, and Piper Jane Bladek of Felts Mills, NY; an aunt, Rachael Payne and her companion, Matt Rothwell of Fairfield, NY; two uncles, Josh Payne of Norway, NY, and Billy Payne and his fiancé, Lisamarie Better of Albany, NY; a cousin, Derek Payne of Salisbury, NY; Oscar’s father and his family in New Orleans, LA, Oscar Lozada, Sr.; extended family in Rhode Island and New Orleans, LA; The Misfits, several best friends and close family friends.
Devin was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Donald and Reggie Hutchins and his maternal great-grandparents, John and Mary McGuire and Hope's companion, Ryan Bladek.
