We are so saddened to hear of Lee's passing. We have many fond memories of him at Kate's and out and about in the community. Always with a smile and a time to talk. He certainly was part of Dolgeville history and we will never forget his kindness at a stressful time in our life. He lived life large and will truly be missed. Our hearts are saddened for you all.

Hi there. I just want to say thank you to Lee and Jane for very special and memorable years spent playing music, eating amazing food, and visiting at Kati's. It was always "Over the Rainbow" and "Wonderful World"...his two regular song requests. I can see him now, seated right in front of me as I sing his songs. I will never forget you. Thank you, and God bless you folks.

To Mrs. Bynon and family,

My deepest condolences. I am praying for you during this time. I have very fond memories of working with you both in the restaurant, and I hope our paths will cross again. I recall Mr. Bynon requesting his personal performance of "Danny Boy" every Sunday, and how he would sit in silence and appreciation each time with a tear in his eye. He was a generous man that will be missed.

I will always remember Lee as a classmate friend and great athlete. My memories are very vivid of Lee and his Dad during gym classes and especially driver ed. It is easy to remember the relatively small number of people that were my classmates thru so many years in Dolgeville Central. But it's extremely sad to hear of their passing on and makes one realize how time catches up to all of us. My deepest sympathy to Lee's family. Rest in Peace Lee.

I met Lee in 1950 while visiting my grand father,Charlie Horning,in Dolgeville. We became friends and athletic adversaries as Lee was a "Blue Devil" and I a " Redskin" from Canajoharie, we had many battles on the fields ,courts and diamonds. Lee was a tough competitor, never asking or giving an inch. It must have been in the family genes as I played semi-pro football for his dad,Bill,on The Ramblers in 58,59 and 60,Lee and I played 2 years together along with the Demarcos, Dr.Tashiro, Bill Alguire (my cousin) Buddy Ostrom and numerous more great athlete's from the area. When I came home from the West,I always tried to meet with Lee and re-play all those games !! We were fierce competitors !! To his family I send my heartfelt sympathies for your loss. One thing more to you Lee,I can't wait until our next meeting on God"s heavenly fields. God Bless you eternally my friend. Larry Horning class of 58 Canajoharie Redskins...

My heart was so sad when I read this today. Mr. Lee Bynon , you are so loved. . We have had many dinners, parties , and conversations that I will always hold dear to my heart. When serving on the BOCES BOARD together for so many years, we sat together before the meetings and just talked. When Fred and I came to the restaurant, you would pull up a chair and we would just talk. You were always a pure gentleman and I loved your company
I will always cherish these memories. I love you Mr. Bynon. May our God forever hold you. He has taken home a very good man. RIP my dear friend

As I write this, the tears are falling! My Buddy has gone to rest on a beautiful bench, outside of a Stewarts in Heaven! There he will be "Waiting on a Woman"... his beloved Jane! I will never forget my annual summer vacation countdowns..."How many days left? ...It's almost over!... Back to your 6 hour days!" Followed by a chuckle and a very lengthy discussion about how hard I really work! Then the discussions would turn to me lecturing him about his "bad habits," Lee always assured me he was "cutting back!" We both knew the truth! On and on, round and round, we would hash out all of the problems of the world while Art looked on smiling. At the end of our visits he would tell me how very lucky I was to have Art... and would then very quickly add that Art was just as lucky to have me! Whether discussing my favorite dinner from "Kati's"... which he knew by heart, his amazing wife Jane, or his deep love of and pride in his children...it didn't matter.... the conversation was never lacking! Art and I will NEVER forget Lee. His honesty, kindness, humor, and constant BS will live on in our hearts forever!! Rest easy sweet man!! May your family be comforted by deep love and fondness others had for your Husband, Dad, Grandpa! God Bless

To: Jane and Kati and extended family..... I , like you, cannot believe he is gone from us. Lee was always a larger then life character, even all thru high school. I will always think of him as the star he was in so many of our sports teams ! DCHS was his palette and his was the master painter there ..... I will always remember us being the King and Queen of the Senior Prom, 1959! During our high school years I spent a lot of time at his house watching TV with the family .... he would say to me. ...'want to just come up and hang out?' I spent a nice time with him, katie and Jane and Alene at kati's place on a trip up to Canada Lake in the mid-2000s. What I loved about Lee was he always had a good joke and was glad to see you! May god watch over him as I know he will,... My deepest sympathies to all of the family. With sweet remembrance of good times past.. Judi

Mr. B! The wisdom he shared that was given to him from his mother was such a blessing. " Don't ever get into a fight with a skunk, because you will always come out stinking " was one that I have shared with others. His love for Katie , how proud he was of his daughter. Mr. B was like family to me and many others. A man who will be forever remembered. My heart hurts and I pray his family comfort and all the words of wisdom to forever share. Sh-boom sh-boom life could be a dream... good bye my friend.
