Mr. Mark M. Ballou, 75, a former town of Oppenheim resident, who has been residing in Ellenburg Center, died Sunday November 26, 2017, at CVPH Medical Center, Plattsburgh, New York.

Mark was born in Little Falls, N.Y. on August 21, 1942, the son of Herbert M. and Hazel (Bishop) Ballou, and was educated in Oppenheim Schools.

He was formerly married to Eva Mae Hart, on July 7, 1968 in the town of Ohio.

Mark was employed by the Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company of Utica, prior to its moving from the area.

Among his personal interests were fishing, hunting, star gazing, fortune telling and physic work. His favorite pastime was using his metal detector searching for gold items.

He is survived by his sons Herbert M. Ballou and his companion Annemarie of Mohawk, Mark James Ballou of Ft. Plain, a sister Frances and her husband Eli Doxtater of Florida, his grandchildren Connor, Taylor and Anne, a great granddaughter Adelynn, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held in the Spring, in Curtis Corners Cemetery, town of Salisbury, under the direction of the Roberts Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville, NY. There are No calling hours.
