John M. Ennis (Mark), 73 formerly of Dolgeville, NY passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Holmes Regional Hospital in Melbourne, FL.  He was born on February 15, 1944.  He is the son of John and Agnes (Purpura) Ennis.  He was educated in Dolgeville Central School and graduated with the class of 1962.  He then attended Utica School of Commerce in Utica, NY.   

After business school he worked at Life Savers in Canajoharie.  He then worked at Little Falls Hospital until his retirement. 

He is survived by his family and friends, close cousins Louis and Elaine Barretta, godson Steven Barretta and his wife Jennifer, Anthony, Alexis, and Zachary Barretta. A very close friend, Al Johnson, and his canine buddy Toby.   

He enjoyed making people laugh with his great sense of humor.  He was a wonderful caring man that cherished family.  He will be sadly missed by all that knew him. 

He was predeceased by his parents and cousin, Daniel J. Barretta. 

Graveside services will be held in the Spring in the Dolgeville Cemetery.
