Jason B. Daukontas Obituary

Jason B. Daukontas, 40, of Dolgeville, New York, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 in Wyoming, Michigan while working out of town.

He was born on March 24, 1979 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and is the son of Anthony and Melanie Daukontas.  He was educated in Dolgeville Central School.  Jason held several positions of employment and most recently was employed with Jamaica Tent Company of West Palm Beach, Florida. 

In his spare time, Jason enjoyed four wheeling, fishing, OTB, and any outdoor activities.  His most precious time was that spent with his grandson, Jayden.

He is survived by his beloved parents, Anthony F. Daukontas of West Palm Beach, FL and Melanie G. Daukontas of Dolgeville, NY; his children, Mackenzie Daukontas and Jason Daukontas, both of Gloversville, NY; his siblings, Anthony Daukontas, and his wife, Melissa of Poughkeepsie, NY, Michael McAffee and his wife, Becky of Dolgeville, NY, Damon Daukontas and his wife, Theresa of Dolgeville, NY and Meegan Daukontas Goodman of Dolgeville, NY; a grandson, Jayden; nieces and nephews, Mariya, Brianna, Shawn, Ethan, Wyatt and Rocco; special family member, Reagan Rachon of Gloversville, NY; several aunts and uncles and many cousins.

Jason was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, George and Joan Stoehrer and his paternal grandparents, Dave and Mary (Sadler) Lane.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon)  at Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street, Dolgeville, New York 13329, (315) 429-7123.  There will be no formal funeral service.
