Herb always encouraged me in my Art pursuits and was ever an encouragement to me! If it were not for him, I would not be the person I am today... enjoying my Graphic arts, digital watercolors and passion for Photography. I would also not be married to the same man for 56 years, that I met at Pratt Institute, in NYC... which Herb insisted I go to! I will always think of him as one of my greatest teachers and mentors. I know I will see him in the Art Room in heaven.... my condolences to his extended family. What a great guy! Judi Bachman Dunn

Our fondest family memories continue to include spending vacations with Herb in his home in Dolgeville and him showing us the sites of the area and introducing us to his friends. He and his German family designed the flowers for our wedding. He will be remembered for his honesty, sense of humor and generosity. What a wonderful man. Rest in peace dear friend. Herb: You were more than a teacher; you were an inspiration to every student who entered your classroom. You left such a positive impact on so many lives. We were very fortunate to have you as a teacher, mentor and a friend. You will be missed. Rest in peace and god bless you Herb.
