Mr. Alan Edward Miller 77 formerly of 865 State Rt. 29A, Salisbury Center, and a current resident of Homelife at Folts Home, in Herkimer, died there Wednesday December 21st, 2016.

Alan was born in Herkimer, NY on April 13, 1939 the son of Fred R. and Mildred (Crouse) Miller and was educated in local schools.

He was united in marriage to Margo Lyon on September 12th, 1970, and they recently celebrated 46 years of marriage.

Alan was employed for over 30 years by Fred Burrows Trucking, along with the Town of Salisbury Highway Department. He retired from the Town of Stratford Highway Department several years ago.

Alan was a person who enjoyed fishing and hunting in his leisure time.

He is survived by his wife Margo, a resident of Valley Residential in Herkimer, his sons, Scott Miller and his companion Christine Taylor of Frankfort, and Alan C. Miller and his fiancé’ Amber Sicara of Salisbury Center, a Sister Kathy Riesberg of Nebraska, additional sons Larry and Richard Miller and a daughter Mary Anne. His grandchildren Courtney Miller, Alexis, and Xavier Miller, and Jack Bellinger.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday December 28th, 2016 from 4-7PM at the Roberts Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville, NY. Burial will be in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills in the Spring.
