Cecelia M. Krott, 84, of Salisbury, New York, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday afternoon, June 17, 2023.
She was born on November 10, 1938, in Silver Creek, New York and was the daughter of the late, Anthony and Lena (Pagano) Bifaro. Cecelia attended Silver Creek Central School and graduated with the Class of 1956. She continued her education to earn her qualification for a Licensed Practical Nurse.
On July 28, 1962, Cecelia was united in marriage to Gerald Krott in Buffalo, New York. The couple shared a union of 49 years when Jerry passed away on March 29, 2011.
Cecelia was formerly employed as a nurse and substitute teacher at Dolgeville Central School, as well as a home healthcare aide for RCIL in which she was the caregiver for her special needs grandson, Seth, for many years.
Cecelia was of the Catholic faith. She was a lifetime member of the Salisbury Ridgerunners Snowmobile Club, as well as a member of the Dolgeville Rod and Gun Club, Red Hats Society and the Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children, Loren Krott and his wife, Mary Beth of Kennebunk, ME, Judith Krott of Dolgeville, NY and Patricia Spraker and her husband, John of Salisbury, NY; grandchildren, Sean Davies of Hayward, CA, Brenton Krott of Waterville, ME, Seth Warren of Salisbury, NY and Shelby Warren of Salisbury, NY; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Harlow and Mason Harlow, both of Salisbury, NY; sisters-in-law, Julie Bifaro of Clifton Park, NY, Geraldine Bifaro of Buffalo, NY and brother and sister-in-law, Vito and Donna Basili of Salamanca, NY; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cecelia was predeceased by her parents, a brother, Peter Bifaro, in-laws, Loren and Romaine Krott, Ed and Lois Shelc and Doug and Phyllis Snyder. Her brother, Anthony Bifaro, passed away unexpectedly on this past Tuesday, June 20, 2023.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Dibble Tuttle Cemetery, Emmonsburg Road, Salisbury Center, New York with Deacon Jim Bower officiating, where she will be laid to rest with her husband, Jerry. The family is being cared for by Roberts Funeral Home in conjunction with Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 3 East Faville Avenue, Dolgeville, New York 13329.
The family would like to thank Hospice and Palliative Care of New Hartford, and in particular, nurses Judy and Angela for their care, comfort and compassion that was shown to Cel and her family.
