Saddened to read of Bill's passing. I only knew him fir a short time during my last station
at Suffolk County AFB, in Westhampton Beach. One of my fondest memories was sharing in sister Pat's birthday at her party in 1959! Though our time shared was brief, Bill made a very lasting impression on me. I respectfully offer my deep and sincere condolences to all of the family during this time of grief.

I just received the news of Bill's passing. He was the most wonderful man. I knew him at Utica National from his first day on the job until his retirement. He's a big part of my memories of "The good old days" at Utica National. What a pleasure and an honor to have known him. I looked forward to our little chats when he had a moment and stopped by. He was such an interesting man! He helped me, as he did others, numerous times. He was one-in-a-million and I will never ever forget him or his kindness. My heartfelt condolences to the family and all who knew him.

Just read of Bill's passing, I would have liked to gone to the service. Your family was such an important part of my days in Dolgeville both as participants and booster club members. Even though I am sad about the passing, i have a smile for all the great memories that are coming back to me. Thank you all for being a part of my life.

Our sympathy goes out to the entire Spakowski family. I have a special memory about Bill that I would like to share. It occurred on a summer day at Twitchell Lake several years ago. Bill came over to our Camp to give me advice that I sought and followed on how to do some major electrical work on our addition project. (The advice was spot on, because the system passed initial inspection.) But after tech-talk we spent some time sitting around chatting about family, etc. Bill said he loved being at Twitchell with son Joe and family. He was proud of Joe's accomplishments, and the grandchildren. On that day, Bill was a happy and contented soul, and always seemed that way whenever we had chance meetings on the Inn Road. May Bill rest in Peace.

Dear Joan and family members,
It is with very heavy hearts that we received the news of Bill's passing. One of the real joys of our trips to Twitchell Lake was the possibility that you and Bill would be at camp visiting Joe. We think the world of you two, and I will sadly miss the opportunity of talking with Bill and sharing stories of "the good old days". Thanks for sharing Bill with us. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Joe, your Mom, and your family,
I was saddened to hear about your father's passing. He certainly liked visiting Twitchell and was a friendly wonderful man. Quite the talented woodworker. I will keep you all in my prayers during this difficult time.

Joan and family: We are so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Bill's commitment to his church was a model for all of us to try to follow. He had that same commitment and passion for his wife and children. All of this was very obvious.

Bill's son Joe is my best friend and hunting partner. It has been my great privilege to also count Bill as my friend of over 20 years during which we have had many great and successful hunts. It was special. Bill was a true gentleman.. Joan and Bill always made us feel welcome in their home . Bill would always say "Welcome Friends" when we would sit at Joan's table for a wonderful meal. And it was my good fortune to be able to have Bill hunt with us at my camp with me and Joe and my brothers, my son, and friends also. He was generous and kind and installed the electrical service at my camp in 2002. I will always be grateful to him for that. It was a small thing I could do but to reserve for Bill "his spot" at camp which he loved and where he was able to harvest a good number of deer including a huge buck several years ago. Gone but certainly will never be forgotten. My most sincere condolences and heartfelt prayers to Joan, to Joe , Mary, Katie, Molly, and Marie and to Joes entire family in this difficult time.

Joan and Family,
My deepest condolences for the loss of Bill. Our morning breakfasts at UMICO always started our days off with a lot of laughs. He was a big help to me when I bought my house, found someone to get the ice off of the roof and for making me the best picnic table ever. He will be missed. Prayers and love are being sent your way.
