Mrs. Lois B. Youker 84 of 2342 State Route 29, Dolgeville, died Tuesday June 27th, 2017 at Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown of natural causes. At the time of her passing she was comforted by the love and support of her family.

 

Lois was born in the Town of Danube, on June 10, 1933, the daughter of Milton A. and Marion B. (Williams) Cramer and was a graduate of Dolgeville High School class of 1951.

 

She was formerly married to Harvey Youker on November 1st, 1951.

 

Lois was involved with the family business, Cramer’s Food Market in Salisbury Center, with her Mother and Sister Audrey for many years. Cramer’s Market was noted for friendly and personal service and hand cut meats. Lois was also employed by the former Daniel Green Company of Dolgeville, along with being an Avon representative. She was last employed by the Lexington Center, Bacon Brook Residential facility as an aide, retiring after 10 years of service.

 

Lois’s dream of having a public campground came true in July of 2016, when she and her daughter and son in law, Donna and Joe opened Spruce Creek Camp Ground on Rt. 29 in Salisbury Center.

 

Lois is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Pauline and Larry, Donna and Joe, Karen and Larry, Lorraine and George, Michelle and Robert, and a her son Harvey, 17 Grandchildren: Selena, Teresa, Larry, Erin, Shane, Michael, Matthew, Jamaica, Nicole, Mary, Sarah, Ethan, Joel, Colin, Deven, Robbie and Marley, 20 Great Grandchildren-Derek, Cheyanne, Garrett, Lilli, Raelynn, Luke, Violet, Sophie, William, Eleanor, Thomas, Brianna, Quinn, Danielle, Tylan, Jade, Ava, Bennett, Patton, Annalise. A great great Grandson Derek Jr, a Sister Audrey Fisher, Nieces and Nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and a Brother Harold Cramer.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Sunday July 9th, 2017 from 1-4 PM at the Salisbury Fire Department, when family will be present to greet their many friends and share remembrances of their Mother. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Rural Park Cemetery, Ingham’s Mills.

 

In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to the Salisbury Fire Department 2549 Rt. 29 Salisbury Center, NY 13454 in her memory.

 

The family wishes to Thank the staff at the Alpine Nursing Home in Little Falls, for the care and compassion shown to Lois while she was a resident there.
