Mrs. Bonnie (Johnson) Filkins, age 58, of St. Johnsville passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017.

            Born in Little Falls, on November 16, 1958, Bonnie was the daughter of the late Gordon J., Sr. and Helene C. (Congdon) Johnson.  At one time she was wed to Henry Filkins.   

She is survived by her son, Chad E. Filkins of Herkimer; two daughters and a son-in-law, Lori Martin of Gloversville and Renea and Jesee Cresong of Ft. Plain; her companion, Larry Falkner; 6 grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Gail and Daniel Rowley of Salisbury, and Kim Markwardt of Gloversville; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Edwin and Wanda Johnson of Dolgeville, Joseph Johnson of Ft. Plane, and Gordon J. Johnson of Revena; aunts and uncles, Betty and David Smith of Ephratah, Chris Johnson of Dolgeville, Donna Shibley of Canjoharie, Sonny and Janet Congdon of Curtis, Ross Congdon of Oppenheim, and Beverly Rasbach of Dolgeville. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Sandy, Debbie and Judy Johnson and Elaine Lopez; and a brother, Brian Johnson.

In keeping with Bonnie’s wishes, there will be no public visitation. A funeral service will be held at a time to be announced.
