Mr. Allan L. Mosher Sr. 80 of 230 Bliss Road, town of Oppenheim, St. Johnsville, died Monday August 7th, 2017 in Little Falls Hospital of natural causes.

 

Allan was born in Middlesprite, town of Stratford, on June 4, 1937 the son of Herman and Vera (Hayes) Mosher and attended Stratford School.

 

He was united in marriage to Frances Fuller on March 23rd, 1957 in the Methodist parsonage in Dolgeville. They recently celebrated 60 years of marriage.

 

Allan was employed by the former Daniel Green Company as a foreman, retiring from there several years ago.

 

He was a life member of the NRA and was an avid hunter and fisherman enjoying the outdoors for most of his life. He also did farming as was known as the Gentlemen’s’ Farmer. His love of his family is most remembered by them, because he always put them first.

 

Surviving is his wife Frances of 60 years, his sons and their wives, Allan L. and Cindy Mosher Jr. of St. Johnsville, Timothy D. and Lisa Mosher of St. Johnsville, a daughter and her husband Judy and Brian Mekeel of Oppenheim, a brother Harold( Mary)  Mosher of Amsterdam, his sisters Vera (Charles) Gilcrest of Stratford, Eva Bevers of Little Falls, 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held Thursday August 10th, 2017 at Noon at the Roberts Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville. Rev. David Prahst of the Valley Alliance Church of Nelliston, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Dibble- Tuttle Cemetery, Town of Salisbury. Friends may call on Thursday morning from 10AM until Noon.
